Organic Architecture:
Those that have been faithful to time, place, and man.
Those that, at the time in which they were built, most fully represented the life of the time. You can find them. In Etruscan architecture, everything was in harmony with nature, in Chinese architecture too, and in Japanese architecture as well. And in Egyptian architecture, certainly. Who couldn’t admire a Gothic cathedral? Who couldn’t admire Romanesque architecture, inserted into its time? Who could not be stunned by Byzantine works and travel to Persia without losing their senses at the beauty of ancient works? But it would be an idiot to try to bring them home, inserting them into different conditions, to which they belong. When we begin to build buildings that have that same beauty, but inserted into our own time, then we will have an architecture we can call organic.
